Neighbourhood team stops consultation hours at Utrecht Science Park, but continues to work for students and residents

Since January 1, 2025, the Neighborhood Team has stopped holding physical consultation hours at Utrecht Science Park. After two years of involvement and collaboration with the Hogeschool Utrecht (HU), Utrecht University (UU) and the housing boards of the flats, it has become apparent that physical consultation hours are not the most effective way to reach students. This decision was made to shift the focus to other forms of support and to continue to promote equal opportunities for all residents of the city.

Over the past few years, the Neighborhood Team has happily supported students, employees and residents of Utrecht Science Park with various requests for help. The collaboration with educational institutions and housing boards has been strengthened and has contributed to better support. This collaboration will continue to be an important pillar for the Neighborhood Team in the future.

Although the physical consultation hours are ending, the neighbourhood teams in Utrecht are still actively working on improving visibility and accessibility. The neighbourhood team wants to ensure that students and residents of the Science Park, as well as other residents of Utrecht, can continue to find the neighbourhood teams for the right support. Residents of Utrecht Science Park can contact the neighbourhood team East, which can be reached by telephone on 030 7400509 or by email: east@buurtteamsutrecht.nlFor students in the East district, the Neighborhood Team can be reached via WhatsApp on +31623476856.

The neighbourhood teams in Utrecht continue to work for the well-being of all residents and students of Utrecht and will continue to contribute to a strong and supportive community in other ways in the future.
