Support for loved ones of people with unexplained behavior

The Regional Knowledge Workshop Dealing with Unexplained Behavior Together (SOMO ) has developed a support program for relatives of people with unexplained behavior. This program consists of one-on-one support and group support.

• One-on-one: A family expert by experience is available for relatives throughout the Utrecht region. Relatives receive personal coaching, in which – if necessary – a family coach and/or family confidant can also be involved. For example, to assist with communication with the mental health care provider. The contact person is Marga Smit. • Group: The Self-Direction & Recovery Support Centre organizes support groups for loved ones in Utrecht, with 8-12 participants per group. In these groups, loved ones can share experiences, find support, and receive practical tools to strengthen their own resilience. The contact person is Mine Durmaz.
