Last year, the municipality of Utrecht launched the campaign 'Unbox yourself and Unbox someone else'. And with success! On Saturday 5 October, a follow-up of the campaign will start in collaboration with FC Utrecht.
Saturday 5 October, during the match between FC Utrecht and RKC Waalwijk, is the kick-off of the new campaign. At the same time, an online campaign starts via the social media channels of the Municipality of Utrecht and FC Utrecht. On 10 October, Mental Health Day, the municipality organizes a special event for young people in the Galgenwaard stadium.
It's okay to not feel well sometimes
The campaign lets Utrecht youth know that it is normal to feel unwell sometimes and that you can talk about it. With a friend, parent, teacher or sports coach. Talking can (also) help to prevent more serious problems and reduce the demand for professional support.
Tips for making mental health a topic of conversation
Op www.utrecht.nl/unboxjezelf young people and their environment receive tips on how to start the conversation. You will also find information about easily accessible forms of support in the city. These are aimed at improving the mental health of young people. The people around the young people receive tips on the same page on how to deal with a young person during a conversation about his/her/their feelings.
