Utrecht young adults more often happy

Young adults from Utrecht feel slightly happier and less lonely than immediately after the corona period. This is evident from the Health Monitor Young Adults 2024This research was conducted among more than 3.200 young adults aged 16 to 25 in the municipality of Utrecht.

Fortunately, half of young adults rate their own mental health as (very) good. This is comparable to national figures and higher than in other cities. That is nice! However, almost two-thirds of young adults indicate that they regularly or often experience stress and performance pressure. This is the same as the figures from other large cities, but higher than the average in the Netherlands. And that is of course less nice. The mental health of young adults therefore continues to require attention.

Apart from that: all those numbers are nice, but they don't help you much if you think 'I can't figure it out myself'.
