Healthy aging

As you get older, your situation can suddenly change. Perhaps your health is getting worse, which means you need help from your partner or someone else. You can also experience loss of, for example, your partner, family or friends. Perhaps you can no longer live independently at home. It is also possible that you feel lonely.

Growing older is not always easy and can bring questions and concerns. It is good to share your concerns and questions with someone you trust. If this is difficult for you, you can always contact the neighbourhood team in your district. Together we will look at how we can deal with your questions and concerns.

The neighborhood team helps

Please contact with the neighbourhood team in your district. We are happy to think along with you about solutions. We can also put you in touch with organisations that can help you further, if necessary.

The neighborhood teams are happy to help you with:

Informal care
Living on your own
Help with household chores
Care in kind or personal budget
Psychological complaints
Loss and grief

FAQ

Your GP is mainly there for medical questions. The neighbourhood team offers you broader support. We are happy to discuss with you what you need in this phase of your life. For example, we can give you advice about living safely and independently in your own home and about healthy living. We are also happy to help you with practical matters, such as arranging help with the housework. We work together with healthcare professionals such as GPs and district nurses. We also have contact with volunteers in your neighbourhood who are happy to help you further. Together we can offer you the support you need.

The assistance of the neighborhood team is free.
