Psychological complaints

Do you feel sad, anxious or lonely? Do you worry a lot? Do you find it difficult to grow older, because you can do less than before? Then you may have psychological complaints. If so, it is important that you tell someone who can help you further about your complaints. This could be your GP, a psychologist or the neighbourhood team employee in your district.

You are really not alone. Almost half of all Dutch people have ever had psychological complaints. So do not hesitate and take contact with the neighborhood team.

The neighborhood team helps

The neighbourhood team in your district would like to talk to you about your complaints. Together we will look at what kind of help suits you best and make a plan to help you further. If you need more than what we can offer you, we will put you in touch with another care provider. Even if you are having a hard time because you are a caregiver, we are happy to help you to keep going. We can provide practical and psychological help. You are not alone! Take contact with your neighborhood team. Welcome!

FAQ

Psychological complaints can include complaints such as anxiety, gloom, loneliness, depression and sleep problems. Do you suffer from one or more of these complaints? Contact your GP or the neighborhood team in your neighborhood.

As you get older, your memory can deteriorate. This is common as you get older. This does not necessarily mean that you have or will develop dementia. It is often just old age-related forgetfulness. If you are worried about your memory or if other things in your daily life are not going so well, please contact your GP or the neighborhood team.

We would love to hear your story. We can also help you practically. We can help with housework arrange, respite care or a buddy who can occasionally do something with the person you are caring for. With respite care, someone else takes over your care for a while, so that you can rest. You can find more information on the website page Informal care.
