Problems with your studies

You are following an MBO, HBO or university study. Maybe you are stuck, worried or have questions and you can't figure it out yourself. For example, you may be dealing with: difficulty making ends meet, debts, loneliness, use of addictive substances or housing problems. It may also be that your health is not good or that you have psychological complaints.

Know that you are not alone, we are happy to think along with you! You are very welcome at the neighborhood team in your district. In addition, there are also neighborhood teams for MBO students at MBO Utrecht and ROC Midden Nederland. Take touch with us.

The neighborhood team helps

The neighbourhood team is happy to support you. You can contact us with your questions, concerns or problems regarding your personal life or studies:  

  • Are you following an MBO education at MBO Utrecht or ROC Midden Nederland? Then you can go to the neighborhood teams that are present there.
  • Of course you can also contact the neighbourhood team in your own district.

We are happy to think along with you. Our support is free. You do not need a referral and there are no waiting times. So do not hesitate, but call, email or visit us! You can find all neighborhood teams on the neighborhood team page

Frequently asked questions

  • Don't just walk around with it, but talk about it. Talk to your friends, parents or other people you have a good relationship with. 
  • Also talk to someone at school. Is there a teacher, dean, care coordinator or study advisor who can help you further?
  • Would you rather talk to someone else? Contact the neighbourhood team at your MBO (for MBO Utrecht or ROC Midden Nederland) via your teacher or student coach. Are you following education at another MBO school, or at HBO or university? Contact touch with with the neighbourhood team in your own district. Our support is free.

For example, you can contact your study advisor if you have problems regarding student financing, study choice, study delays or a chronic illness.  

We organize drop-in groups for young adults at various locations in Utrecht. You can sign up for these if you are struggling with performance pressure, loneliness, anxiety or depression. The meetings are led by experienced experts. The drop-in group offers you support, fun and inspiration to deal with your difficulties. For more information, please visit our activity page. Welcome!
