As a neighbourhood team employee, you are of great value to the people you support. You teach them to take more control over their lives. Our neighbourhood teams give everyone in Utrecht who wants it a helping hand. We do this with love and creativity.

We help people – in their own neighborhood or at school – find solutions to problems related to parenting, unemployment, debt, mental health issues, safety, housing, and more. We do this, for example, by organizing groups and training sessions for young people and adults, providing personal support, online training, or a combination thereof. As a neighborhood team member, you often help them take not just one step forward, but many.

…it is useful to know that Buurtteams Utrecht consists of two organizations that work together enthusiastically to give children, young people and adults the support they need. The goal is the same, but the target group is different:

  1. Lokalis: neighborhood team organization for youth and families.
  2. Neighborhood team organization Sociaal Utrecht: neighborhood team organization for adults without minor children.

So you can choose which target group you want to work with!

Outpatient Youth and Family Coach

If you have a heart for children, young people and families, then this vacancy is really something for you! As an Ambulant Youth and Family Coach (family worker) you will talk to families about growing up, behavioral problems, education, relationships and more. You look with them at what they can do themselves and where they need support from you or others. Together you work on a solution that the family can continue with in the short and long term. Internship
