The neighborhood teams in the municipality of Utrecht find the protection of your privacy very important. When processing your personal data, we comply with the laws regarding privacy. In addition, we have made agreements with the Municipality of Utrecht about how we handle your data. How we work

If you are a client of a neighbourhood team, we will create a file about you. We will write down important information in this file. This is necessary to be able to help you properly. You may request and view your file, and if you wish, request an adjustment. You can read about your privacy rights further down on this page.

Your data will only be processed to the extent necessary to help you with your question. We will not send your data to others without your permission. There are a number of exceptions to this, such as situations in which there is a danger to you or someone else. 

Your rights

Because this concerns your own data, you have a number of rights, such as:

  1. You may request and/or view your file. You can view your file in the customer portal My Neighbourhood Team
  2. If you disagree with something, you may ask us to change information in your file.
  3. You may ask us to delete your file.

Where to go for questions and more information

Buurtteams Utrecht employs two Data Protection Officers. These employees assist neighborhood team clients when they have questions about privacy and their data. Additionally, they advise Buurtteams Utrecht on how to handle client data. 

If you have questions about how we handle your personal data or if, for example, you wish to request your file, you can contact your neighbourhood team member, but also with these Data Protection Officers.

Depending on your situation, you can contact us in one of the following ways:

  1. If you have children or are under 18 years of age, you can contact the Data Protection Officer of Buurtteam Jeugd & Gezin. Send your question or request. by email with the subject: Request from Neighborhood Team Youth & Family.
  2. If you are an adult and do not have any children (living in the household), you can contact the Data Protection Officer of Buurtteam Sociaal. Send your question. by email with the subject: Request Neighborhood Social Team.

Depending on your situation, you can contact us in one of the following ways:

  1. If you are a client of Buurtteam Jeugd & Gezin, you request your file by a e-mail to send with the subject: Request file Neighborhood Team Youth & Family.
  2. If you are a client of Buurtteam Sociaal, you can request your file by filling out the 'Submit file request form'. To do so, you can click on dthis link.
