All about raising children and growing up

Having children is often a lot of fun. But of course you can also have questions or concerns. Maybe you are uncertain about the development of your child or about your own behavior. Or things are not going well at home due to other causes, causing a lot of tension and arguments. There is no family where everything always runs smoothly. It often helps to talk about it with family or friends.

Sometimes your worries can become so great that it is good to ask for professional help. In that case, please contact Youth Health Care Utrecht or for more complicated problems with the neighborhood team in your district.

Does the benefits affair have (major) negative consequences for your family and do you want to know more about the broad support we can offer you? Look at Money matters.

The neighborhood team helps

Make an appointment with the neighbourhood team in your district. Together with you, we will look at what is going on in your family and where we can support you. If necessary, we can also put you in touch with other organisations that can help you further. No matter what concerns or problems you have, you can always tell your story to the neighbourhood team. We are happy to think along with you about solutions that will help you and your family further. Call, email or come by.

The neighborhood teams are happy to help you with:

Pregnancy and young children
Behavior and development
Apart
Psychological complaints
Additional youth care

FAQ

That depends on what you need help with. We would like to talk to you about your request for help and think with you about a solution for the long term. The support of the neighborhood team usually does not last that long, but there are always exceptions possible.

That is a good question to ask the person at school who would like the neighbourhood team to be present at a meeting. He or she may think that your child needs more help than the school can provide. It may also be that you have experienced something (intense) as a family, which has caused your child to behave differently at school. Together with you and your child's school, we will look at who can best support you. That could be the neighbourhood team, but also Youth Health Care Utrecht and/or the Primary Education Collaboration  . Secondary Education Partnership. Together we will make a plan to help your child further.

How great that you are visiting our website for more information about broad support! In Utrecht, the neighborhood teams support the (children of) victims of the allowance affair in many ways. You can find more information about this on the webpage Allowance affair.

The assistance of the neighborhood team is free.
