I'm worried about my child

You are worried about your child's behavior, development, and/or feelings, and how you handle them as a parent. Perhaps your child has been angry, sad, or anxious for some time and is exhibiting difficult behavior. You are not quite sure how to deal with him or her. You would like to discover how best to help your child. Take your questions and concerns to Jeugdgezondheidszorg Utrecht or your GP. They can think things through with you and give you advice.

Perhaps there is more going on within your family. For example, there may be financial worries or a lot of stress and arguments. This affects your child's behavior or feelings. If you would like to address this, please contact the neighborhood team in your area. Together, we can figure out what is bothering your child and look for solutions. You are not alone!

Help for you as a parent

The neighborhood team in your area is happy to talk to you about your questions and concerns regarding parenting, your child's development, behavior, and/or feelings. Naturally, we will also discuss how this affects you. We will create a plan and discuss what is going well and what could be improved. We will look at who can provide further assistance to your child, you, and your family. For example, family, friends, other parents in your area, a GP, your child's school, or a neighborhood team member. And if necessary, we will collaborate with other care providers who can help you further. Please contact the neighborhood team.
