Need help with informal care?

As people get older, they sometimes need more care. Often, that support is provided by an informal caregiver. That is someone who cares for someone else who needs help for a long time. For example, because that person has been ill for a long time or because he or she cannot take care of themselves for another reason.

Are you a caregiver for your partner, child, parent or someone else in your environment? Know that you do not have to carry the (informal) care alone. You can go to Informal care Utrecht. If you have any questions or other concerns after this, please share them with the neighbourhood team. Call, email or come by at the neighborhood team in your district.

The neighborhood team helps

The neighbourhood team in your district is happy to help you with informal care. For example, we organise meetings and courses for informal carers. We also offer you a listening ear when you feel like you can't take it anymore. Together with you, we look at what you and the person you are caring for need. We help you find the right support. We also help you get respite care if you want it. Respite care means that someone else takes over your care tasks for a while, so that you can rest. Informal care is often very difficult, so it is nice if someone can support you with it. Welcome At the neighborhood team
